Salt Air Services was formed in 2011 by Adam Holt to meet the growing need for professional training in Australia.

Adam Holt

Adam completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Aviation) before commencing his flying career in 2000.

Working throughout Australia in a variety of aviation jobs from freight to corporate charter before becoming Chief Pilot of Australia’s only RPT seaplane operation. It was here he found his passion in training and checking. Adam has held the position of Chief Pilot and Head of Training and Checking for several operators across Australia.

Adam now provides Training and Checking for companies across Australia and is one of only a few people in Australia that holds independent training approvals to conduct C-208 Caravan outside of a flying school.

  • Flight instructor rating
  • RAAus Senior Instructor
  • Design Feature training
  • Multi engine aircraft training

David Windle

David joined Salt Air in 2013 sharing Adam’s passion for training and concerned by the downward trend of standards of training in the industry.

David comes from an instructing background and holds Examiner privileges, a Grade one instructor rating and holds training approvals as a simulator instructor for the B200 King Air.

Prior to joining Salt Air, David has held positions as Head of Training and Checking for two of the largest charter companies in Australia and Deputy Chief Pilot for a Queensland regional airline.
